"I think I can still take them," she said putting up her fists as if she was going to fight. She headed for the stairs ascending them quickly before she opened the door to look inside. "What are you two up to?"
"Nothin," Alice replied instinctively. "We're just playing with our new dinosaurs. I'm trying to eat Seth's raptors but he doesn't think that I can so I'm eating the dumb brachiasauros instead."
Alice had gotten home just before chores started for the day. It was lucky that she came in during the bustle. She got chided for still wearing her dirty dress before she was sent to eat and do her chores. She busied herself trying to pay attention to her chores and getting them mostly done before she saw her "boyfriend" in the distance.
Alice looked about before she went slowly and then sprinted to go meet the boy in leathers and furs. "You're back! I haven't seen you for a fortnight!" she said giving him a hug.
The skies were overcast and flickering with lightning as he rode for the city. Despite a sense of urgency that left him wanting to push the horse harder, Dag forced himself to maintain nothing more than a canter knowing he needed to preserve the horse's endurance for later. He already had miles on the threat at his back. An army that size couldn't travel nearly as fast as a lone horse and rider.
Rain was just beginning to fall as Gallows carried his rider through the gates. Dag slowed the animal to a brisk trot as they cut further into the city. It had been many years since he'd set foot there. The streets seemed both familiar and entirely different.
Dag didn't remark on that for long, though. He was narrow mindedly focused on his goal as his horse approached the keep's courtyard.
As Gallows slowed, Dag swung easily from the saddle. A stable boy trotted forward to take the reigns, but he only shook his head once, "Go fetch your master," he ordered instead, "tell him Marcianus has come for payment."
Alice looked over to Seth from where she was in time out across from him. "This is your fault," she sneered at him. To her it was at least his fault. If he had just listened to her about which was the best dinosaur they wouldn't have gotten in a fight," she continued to glare at him.
VP of R&D at the age of nineteen Violet was an up and coming star in Euphoria and kept things moving smoothly. She was a in college at 16 and hired right out of college to this job. She was confident, wore high heels, a pencil skirt, blouse and a jacket that day.
It was getting cloudy out and her pilot had called in sick.
The moment she heard that she looked up from her folder, which she was staring at since she basically walked in. "What do you mean my pilot is sick. I have to be there in less than 2 hours. No exceptions. You fly me," she instructed the man.
The man gave a soft chuckle and shook his head. "I have to stay here, besides storm may be there before that."
Violet frowned and tapped her perfectly manicured nail on the counter as the other man came in. She turned her violet eyes toward the man then back to the one in charge of the small airfield that connected to the private airfield owned by Euphoria. "Fine," she turned to look at the man. "You," she said turning to look over to the man that walked in. "Do you fly?" when he gave a slight nod. "I'll pay you five thousand dollars to take me to my destination, stay there for my duration and take me back," she advised him. For 1995 it was half the price of a car. It was significant.
